The focus is shifting from external security that is Internet-based threat to internal security that is the internal users or intranet, said Michael Susai, founder chairman and chief executive officer, NeoAccel who was in town to inaugurate its second development centre in India. |
A secure network access solutions provider, this is the company's second development centre in India, the first a 90 people centre in Mumbai. In Pune it has created capacities for 255 people currently and plans to outgrow that to be a 30-people company within three years. |
The Pune development centre will support R&D, customer support and telesales, where representatives would sell its hi-tech solutions to potential customers in the US. |
The company plans to increase its global sales footprint. It is targeting India and China as potential markets besides the traditional markets of US and UK. In the US it will double its sales and marketing head count in the coming quarter. "India and China have the potential to contribute 25-30 per cent of our overall sales in this financial year," said Susai. |
"The internal security market is a $3.9 billion market and the firewall and Virtual Private Network (VPN) market is a $4.2 billion market and we plan to capture 25 per cent of this market in the next two years," said Susai. |
The company has received $5 million funding from Baring Private Equity Partners and NTT Finance. |
"We are growing at 400 per cent year-on-year and plan to break even within the next two quarters," said Susai. |
