The per capita income has also increased by 11 per cent to NRs 30,361 ($470).

The real purchasing capacity of the people has, however, grown only marginally due to a whopping 9 per cent inflation, the Central Bureau of Statistics said.

The dual growth is the result of double digit rise in remittance inflow as well as the recent boom in the tourism sector, it said.

The country's manufacturing sector, however, has slackened with just 0.18 per cent growth, lowest since 2001-2002.
