Kajaria Ceramics, the country’s largest ceramic tiles manufacturer, posted 160 per cent rise in net profit at Rs 6.04 crore in the first quarter ending June 30, 2009 as compared to 2.32 crore in the corresponding quater last year.
The company reported a turnover of Rs 159.88 crore during the first quarter of the current fiscal as compared to Rs 166.02 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year.
It is setting up a plant to manufacture 2.5 million square metre of vitrified tiles at its existing location at Sikandrabad (UP) with a project cost of Rs 35 crore
