Neyveli Lignite pays Rs 439 cr dividend to govt

State-owned Neyveli Lignite Corporation (NLC) today said it has paid over Rs 439 crore dividend to the government for 2011-12.

"NLC has presented dividend of Rs 439.49 crore to the government for the financial year 2011-12," an official statement said.

NLC Chairman and Managing Director B Surender Mohan presented the dividend cheque to the Coal Minister Sriprakash Jaiswal here.

Coal Secretary S K Srivastava and other senior officials of the ministry were also presented during the occasion, it said.

"NLC has declared a dividend at the rate of 28.00% for the financial year 2011-12. The total dividend payout (including distribution tax) amounts to Rs 545.97 crore," the statement added.
