State-owned National Fertilisers (NFL) on Tuesday said it has cancelled the contract for the 14.7 Mw wind energy project in Jaisalmer.
In a filing to Bombay Stock Exchange, the country's second largest producer of nitrogenous fertilisers said, "...Contract awarded for wind energy project in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan by the company has been cancelled."
The company has not given any reason for the cancellation of the contract but said, at present company does not have any other wind energy project in hand.
Earlier in June, the company has announced its entry into generation of green power projects through setting wind mills as an effort to diversify its business.
In pursuance to that, it awarded a contract for 14.7 Mw wind energy project in Jaisalmer district of Rajasthan. The project was scheduled to commission by the end of current year.
