Nicholas Piramal today reported a 58% increase in consolidated net profit at Rs 84.77 crore for the second quarter ended September 30, 2007 when compared with Rs 53.69 crore in Q2FY07.According to a release issued to the BSE, total income increased to Rs 764.57 crore from Rs 654.83 crore in Q2FY07.The company, on a stand-alone basis, posted a net profit of Rs 80.98 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2007 as against Rs 67.06 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2006. Total Income increased from Rs 442.74 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2006 to Rs 531.82 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2007.
