Global information and media organisation the Nielsen Company today said it has began public beta testing of its social network website titled "Hey! Nielsen."The networking website would cater to pop culture enthusiasts who are eager to make their voices heard to Nielson clients and other decision-makers in the entertainment industry."Hey! Nielsen gives lovers of pop culture an opportunity to sound off online and to make their voices heard by decision makers," Karen Watson, senior vice president (communications), Nielsen Company said.The company said that though the site is still under test and development, users would be able to access the functions available on it.The members of the website would also be able to rate music or movies and recommend them, which would help Nielsen measure and understand user engagement around the entertainment industry.The information gathered from the site would be used to supplement existing products of Nielsen Media Research (TV ratings), SoundScan (music), Nielsen EDI (box office information) and other services that allow clients to tap into consumer connection to media.
