Mid tier IT services firm NIIT Technologies has won Rs 220 crore deal from UK's communications regulator OfCom to manage its infrastructure and application systems over six years.
As a strategic partner, NIIT Technologies will implement a dedicated service delivery model and new service management processes and tools. Key services will include the service desk, data centre services, application management and project management, the firm said in a statement.
Investors received the news positively with NIIT's stock rising to Rs 558, up Rs 14.75 or 2.72% on the BSE as at 11.35 am.
“We are confident that we will be able to deliver value to Ofcom through our strong understanding and proven capabilities in the application and infrastructure management services domain,” said Satya Samal, EVP and Europe Head, NIIT Technologies in a statement.
