India’s largest pickles manufacturer Nilon’s is set to expand to the US markets for exports and has some new product launches lined up. The company would look at cities on the East coast at present, said Rajheev Agrawal, chief executive officer of Nilon’s. It will send out spices, cooking pastes and pickles to those new markets.

Company officials said Nilon’s will soon launch its healthy range of pickles with flavours like amla, carrot and bitter gourd. Its ginger and garlic pastes will not be produced by cold grinding instead of the usual hot crushing.

In its sharbat category, it will launch a new mango panna flavour. In the range of accompaniments, it will introduce tamarind chutney and also green chilli sauce, soy sauce and sweet chilli sauces in doy packs.

Also, dosa and bhajia mixes will be the new entries in its instant mixes range.

Currently the company, operates only in Madhya Pradesh and Chattisgarh in the chilly, turmeric and corriander powders category. But, is looking at going national with these products by April 2012.

The company's export markets included France, Japan, South Africa, New Zealand, and Australia. The company recently started exporting its range of spices, pickles, instant mixes and pastes to Middle East, Singapore and Malaysia. Nilon’s produces 30,000 tonne of pickles per year and after the expansion of its Utran plant which is near Jalgaon in Maharashtra completes, it will produce a total of 37,000 tonne of pickles every year and will go on to become the world’s largest pickle producer.
