Nipuna plans new call centre in Bangalore, to triple seat capacity

The two new facilities are expected to be operational in the first week of March. With this, the total seat capacity of the BPO company will get tripled to 900.
 

V Srinivas, chief financial officer of Satyam, said that the new investments by Nipuna would be met from the recent funding received from Intel Capital and Olympus Capital.
 

The company received a $ 20-million funding from the two investment firms in two tranches during the last quarter. Satyam earlier announced that it would not make any new investments into the subsidiary apart from the initial investment of $ 4 million.
 

Meanwhile, Nipuna posted a revenue of Rs 3.49 crore during the last quarter. The company added two more clients to the existing client list of six.
 

The company was appointed by a US-based insurance major for claims administration services that include claims data capture and claims adjudication. It has also completed due diligence of the help desk activities of a US-based customer in the publication business.
