Nirma net profit for the year ended March 31, 2007, dropped 55% to Rs 108.41 crore as against Rs 241.38 crore reported in FY06.According to a release issued by Nirma to the BSE today, the company's total income increased 16.3% to Rs 2,260.18 crore for FY07 from Rs 1,942.82 crore for FY06.For the quarter ended March 31, 2007, the company reported a loss of Rs 93.45 crore as against a loss of Rs 35.62 crore reported in the corresponding quarter a year ago. Total income was up 26.3% at Rs 639.91 crore from Rs 506.60 crore in the same period.
