Nissan Motor plans to open 15 more dealerships this year

Nissan India today said the company has plans to open 15 (rpt) 15 more dealerships by the end of this fiscal all over the country.

"In the process of establishing the Nissan brand in India, Nissan Motor India, in partnership with Hover Automotive (its sales, marketing and dealer development arm) is rapidly preparing its dealer network structure to support growth in the country. The company plans to have more than 30 dealers by end of this fiscal", the firm said in a statement.

At present, the company has 15 dealerships, including recently-opened ones in Ludhiana, Gurgaon, Calicut, Jalandhar and Surat.

Besides, five more dealerships would be opened in Navi Mumbai, Bhubaneshwar, Jaipur, Bhopal and Thiruvananthapuram this month, taking the total number to 20, it said.

Currently, Nissan Motor India has a presence in 13 states of the country.

"We have been aggressively ramping up dealership network across the country. Opening up of these five new dealerships is in line with our constant endeavour to increase our footprint and to provide total customer satisfaction", Nissan Motor India Managing Director and CEO Kiminobu Tokuyama said.

The company would also introduce the much-awaited compact car Nissan Micra in Delhi on July 14, the statement said.
