Tiles manufacturer Nitco Tiles has launched grace porcelain floor tiles for the first time in India by a local manufacturer at 35-40 per cent discount to products imported from Germany and Italy. But the product will be sold at a premium between 40 pee cent and 45 per cent over vitrified tiles currently available in India.

Branded as “Naturoc”, the new category of porcelain floor tiles will be available for consumers at around Rs 70 per square feet across the country depending upon the types of tiles and place of sales.

Anticipating a revival of construction industry and therefore, tiles demand in India, Kalyan Paul, chief operating officer, said: “Over the years Nitco has reinforced its core strengths by building on its core competency of innovation to efficiently serve the needs of a fast paced economy. In this pursuit of innovation Nitco has many firsts to its credit. Nitco was the first company in India to launch a range of tiles with glossy, rustic, wood, slate etc. finish.”

Naturoc is the world’s finest tiles which gives the best of both worlds - it’s a matt tile and yet has a glossy finish. It addresses all needs the customer looks for in flooring - the need to have natural looking designs, anti-skid properties, and is easy to clean as well. Nitco entered into grace porcelain tiles business with a 25-26 lakh sq metre of Naturoc which Paul believes to be consumed easily.

According to Paul, India’s construction industry has entered into revival’s arena and hence, good future is estimated for Naturoc. Naturoc is an import substitute.
