Finnish handset maker Nokia today unveiled two new 'Asha' phones equipped with new features like voice-guided self portrait and 'Slam' to share pictures and videos with other mobile phones.

The dual-SIM devices -- Asha 205 and Asha 206 -- have been unveiled in four countries (Indonesia, Nigeria, Kenya and India) today as the Asha series completes one year of launch.

"Asha is a huge category for us and in Q3, about 6.5 million Asha touch devices were sold, which speaks volumes about the popularity of the device.

"The new phones are also aimed at giving users a smarter Internet experience at affordable costs," Nokia India Director (Mobile Phones) Sari Harju told reporters here at the launch of the handsets.

Nokia has 10 devices in the 'Asha' series priced between Rs 4,000 to Rs 9,000.

The two handsets will be available in India in the next month. Though the pricing has not been announced, but the handsets are expected to be priced at about USD 62 globally.

The Asha 205 is a QWERTY handset with a dedicated Facebook button offering one-touch access to the social networking site, while the Asha 206 is an alphanumeric handset with a 2.4-inch display.

The devices have a new Slam feature, using which consumers can share multimedia content with Bluetooth-enabled devices without having to pair them.

Nokia Asha 206 has a camera application, which allows users to click focussed self portraits using the back camera of the handset through voice-guidance.
