The company has a nursery in Punjab with about six lakh citrus saplings to cater to the company. |

The CEO of the $35 billion company said while "India is on a high", infrastructure was crumbling and the education system in the country needed to be revamped. |

"The education system needs to be revamped, expanded in scope and size and quality has to be improved," she said. |

When asked what had propelled her to such great heights, to become the CEO of such a big company, Nooyi said: "Thayir sadam (Curd Rice)!". |

When asked why she chose the high-profile Poes Garden area in the city to buy another house, she said her mother lived in Chennai and hence it was logical that she should buy another property here. |

Nooyi had recently bought a flat for about Rs 4 crore at Poes Garden, where former Chief Minister Jayalalithaa and Tamil film 'Superstar' Rajnikanth have their residence. |

Nooyi said partnerships like the PepsiCo-Exnora Waste management project can help the country. "Garbage management is very important for us. It is very good for the country," she said. |

The company has tied up with Exnora International to scale up the model of waste management.She said the company had identified three areas to focus on as part of its environment sustainability efforts- converting waste to wealth to make the cities cleaner and healthier, replenishing the precious resource of water and partnering with farmers to help them earn more. |
