If you thought the personal computer prices have bottomed out, think again. The latest to join the price war are Wipro and AMD. The two companies are jointly launching the cheapest branded PC in the country.
Christened iValue, the PC can be yours for just Rs 22,500. The only other brand that comes close to this is the AMD Duron-based PC, priced at Rs 24,999, from the Delhi-based hardware company Vintron. iValue is cheaper than even an assembled PC using an AMD Duron processor which is available at Rs 24,500.
While the cheapest PCs from the MNC hardware majors cost more that Rs 35,000, the Indian brands are available for less that Rs 30, 000.
