"We have plans to diversify into the real estate sector by commercial exploitation of our properties, besides entering into building-management services, environmental projects, especially sewage treatment plants and solid water management projects among others," NPCC CMD H L Chaudhary told PTI.
He said the company plans to almost double its turnover to Rs 2,165 crore by 2018 from the present Rs 1,155 crore.

"Also, we are exploring the possibility of participating in public-private-partnerships (PPPs) and forming joint ventures with profit-making PSUs and private firms in the areas of mutual interest," he said.
The company has already inked pacts with Telecommunications Consultants India Ltd and WAPCOS, besides government of Arunachal Pradesh for various projects, he said.
At present, National Projects Construction Corporation (NPCC) has work orders to the tune of Rs 4,181 crore.
The company has turned itself around after a revival plan was approved by the government in 2009.
