NRI industrialist Vikas Rambal promoted Perdaman Industries today said that the group will invest over Rs 500 crore in India in the next three years in areas ranging from solar power to wind mill to food park and plantation of jatropha curcus.

"We have already signed an agreement with the Madhya Pradesh government to get 5,000 hectares of land near Gwalior for growing jatropha seeds for bio diesel plants," Rambal, based in Australia, told PTI.

The oil from jatropha seeds is used for making bio diesel fuel.

Besides, Perdaman Industries has also initiated the process of setting up a mega food park in Madhya Pradesh, he said adding that the group is also talking to a global partner for setting up a food park in Gujarat.

He, however, declined to name the global partner, but said they would have a 50 per cent stake in the JV in Gujarat.

Rambal, who hails from the state of Jammu and Kashmir, has also offered to invest in several sectors, including food park, power sector and textile, in the state.
