NRL pays Rs 9.08 crore as dividend to Assam Government

State government has an equity holding of 12.35% in NRL

Numaligarh Refinery Limited (NRL) today paid Rs 9.08 crore as dividend to the Assam government for the year 2012-13.

The cheque was formally handed over to Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi by NRL Managing Director Dipak Chakravarty, an official release said.

The state government has an equity holding of 12.35% in NRL.

Among others present on the occasion were NRL Director (Technical) S R Medhi, Director (Finance) S K Barua and other senior officials of NRL and the state government.

The resolution to declare a dividend of 10% to NRL shareholders for the year 2012-13 was adopted in the 20th Annual General meeting of the Company held on September six last.
