National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) on Monday said it has set a target to have an installed power generating capacity of 1,28,000 Mw by the year 2032.
This capacity will have a diversified fuel mix comprising 56 per cent coal, 16 per cent gas, 11 per cent nuclear and 17 per cent renewable, including hydro, the company said in a notice to the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).
By 2032, NTPC aims to have non-fossil fuel based generation capacity of nearly 28 per cent in its portfolio. The corporate plan has been approved and adopted by NTPC board in its meeting held on June 21, the company said.
NTPC shares closed almost flat at Rs 198 on the BSE today.
