Arup Roy Choudhury has a career spanning over 34 years

Arup Roy Choudhury, CMD, NTPC has been given additional charge of chairman, Damodar Valley Corporation Ltd. w.e.f. from November 28, 2013 till appointment of a regular incumbent or until further orders.

Roy Choudhury, took over as CMD NTPC on September 01, 2010. He has recently authored a book ‘Management by Idiots ‘which has been very well received.

A graduate in civil engineering from Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra and a post-graduate in management and systems from IIT-Delhi, Roy Choudhury has a career spanning over 34 years.

Roy Choudhury became the youngest Chief Executive Officer of a Central Public Sector Enterprise (CPSE) at the age of 44 years when he joined as Chairman & Managing Director, National Buildings Construction Corporation Limited (NBCC) on April 03
