Nucleus, PTL, Shreyas and State Bank of Indore results

Nucleus Software, a banking and software products company, has posted a net profit of Rs 2.94 crore in the first quarter ended June 30, an increase of around 90 per cent over the same period a year ago. The company's consolidated revenue was up by 15 per cent to Rs 20.86 crore during the quarter, the company said.
 
Punjab Tractors net up
Punjab Tractors has reported a 75 per cent jump in net profit for the quarter ended June 30, 2004, at Rs 10 crore against Rs 5.7 crore in the corresponding period last year. Total income increased 52 per cent to Rs 182 crore (Rs 119.4 crore).
 
"The operating team feels somewhat satisfied to have moved forward in its financial performance," company vice-chairman and managing director Yash Mahajan said in a statement.
 
Shreyas Shipping net up
Shreyas Shipping has reported a profit of Rs 2.60 crore in the first quarter ended June 30, 2004, up 54 per cent growth from Rs 1.69 crore posted in the same quarter of the previous year. The company's net sales dipped 13.62 per cent to Rs 7.62 crore (Rs 8.81 crore).
 
State Bank of Indore net rises
State Bank of Indore (SBI) has reported a 9.81 per cent rise in net profit at Rs 44.34 crore for the first quarter ended June 30, 2004, compared with Rs 40.38 crore in Q1 of the previous fiscal.
 
Net interest income of the bank has grown by 15 per cent during the quarter reaching the level of Rs 112 crore as against Rs 97 crore from the similar period last year, MD of the State Bank of Indore T S Bhattacharya said in a release.
