Ogilvy Sport, the sports marketing arm of Ogilvy India, today announced that it will represent Formula One star Kimi Raikkonen in India. |
The announcement comes at a time when Raikkonen has moved from Mclaren Mercedes to the Ferrari team replacing Michael Schumacher who retired this season. |
Commenting on the development, Ogilvy India CEO Pratap Bose said, "We have been working on the Kimi Raikkonen deal for sometime and our agreement to represent him is an indicator of Ogilvy India's future direction in Activation and Sports. |
"We are delighted that the first offering from Ogilvy Sport is an opportunity for brands to associate with Ferrari." |
Raikkonen is the first celebrity to be signed on by Ogilvy Sport and this association would build upon the possibility of the Formula One racing coming to India over the next few years. |
