"We would be offering skill training to drivers. After completion of training, Ola would be handing them vehicles to help them become entrepreneurs. In this fiscal, Ola will hire 2,500 such skilled youths", said Sanjay Singh, secretary with Odisha's skill development & technical education department.
Singh said Ola is expanding its footprint in Odisha in a big way. An official source said, Ola is looking to have a pool of 10,000 drivers in the state in the next two years.
Ola, a leading ride-hailing service provider, is one of the country's valued start-ups.
