Since its launch in January, Ola has managed to sign up 2,000 companies for its Ola Corporate service. By opening up its shuttle bus service to corporates, it is now looking to address the daily commute needs of majority of employees at a company.
"Ola Shuttle as part of the Ola Corporate offering enables seamless mobility for daily commute of employees. Ola Shuttle operates on routes that are crowd-sourced from users and their employers to serve more people efficiently," said Pranay Jivrajka, Chief Operating Officer at Ola, in a statement.
Currently Ola Shuttle operates in Delhi, Mumbai and Bengaluru, operating 500 busses that ply on over 100 routes. The service was launched in order to take on shuttles organised by several enterprises to ferry employees to and from work as opposed to taking on public transport.
Customers riding shuttle busses or cabs through Ola Corporate will pay the regular fares fixed by the company, but the payment will be deducted from accounts handled by employers. Further, all features of the app are retained for corporate customers.
