Bangalore-based Opto Circuits India, maker of electronic devices and monitoring products for the healthcare segment, has acquired a majority stake in Wisconsin-based Criticare Systems.According to a company release, "Upon the completion of the share transfer process, Criticare Systems will become a subsidiary of Opto Circuits.""The acquisition has given access to the expanded product line and technology offered by Criticare Systems which will allow Opto Circuits to enter new markets and compete more effectively with leading manufacturer of Vital Sign Monitors, Anesthesia Monitors, pulse Oximeters and Patient Monitors and accessories," the release added.In addition the acquisition, Opto Circutis gets access to anesthesia gas monitoring capability and has also motivated team in research and development (R&D) and marketing.
