Procter & Gamble Hygiene and Health Care today reported a 35% increase in net profit at Rs 124.61 crore for the year ended June 30, 2005 when compared with Rs 92.17 crore in FY04.According to a release issued by the company to the BSE today, total income increased to Rs 731.54 crore in FY05 from Rs 592.27 crore in FY04.The board has recommended a final dividend of Rs 40 per share, the release added.Bharat Patel, chairman of the company, said: "We continue to deliver strong top line & bottom line growth with help of our superior performing products, insightful advertising, strong go-to-market strategies and elimination of non-value adding costs."
