"With new generation product 'Elite Panaboard', we are targeting around 12 per cent market share in the segment in the next three years," Panasonic Asia Pacific Pte Ltd Business Head Ajay Madan told reporter here.
The total market for such products in the country is around 8,000 units, he said.
Priced at Rs 1.35 lakh per unit, Elite Panaboard allows direct display of the contents of a computer screen on to the 77 inch wide board. It would import these products from Japan to market it in the country.
Elite Panaboard comes with an ergonomic electronic pen, which allows smooth and easy mouse-like operations and it also allows user to perform many operation at a single time.
Panasonic would use its existing channel to sell the product in the country and would primarily target education institutes for the purpose, Madan said.

When asked whether the company is planning to manufacture it in the country, he said, "Total volumes in the segment in the domestic market is too low to set up manufacturing unit."
