The state government today constituted the organising committee for conducting Bio Asia 2012, an annual global event that provides platform for the biotech industry. Members include D Balasubramaniam, chairman, AP Biotech Advisory Council, K V Raghavan, former director of Indian Institute of Chemical Technology, BR Meena, vice chairman & managing director of APIIC, Appaji, executive director, Pharmexcil, Vishal Goel, head - Alexandria Equities Management India Private Limited, Harry Rathore, head - Lonza India, Manni Kantipudi, CEO of GVK Bio, Vasi Reddy, CMD, Vimta Labs, Suresh Jadhav, executive director - Serum Institute of India, Mahima Datla, CMD - Biological E Limited, and Harshvardhan, director - Bharat Biotech International Limited. The committee will be chaired by TS Appa Rao, principal secretary, industries and commerce, while Karikal Valaven, commissioner of industries is the convenor.
