Paramount Airways today announced the launch of its operations in Hyderabad from April 19. The airline plans to connect the city to Bangalore, Delhi and Mumbai within the next six months.The Chennai-Hyderabad and Hyderabad-Kochi routes will be made operational on April 19. "We plan to go national by 2007-08 and will be launching operations in metros like Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore soon,"Ajay Grover, marketing and sales head of Paramount Airways, said. Paramount will increase its fleet size to eight by the end of this year and 20 by the next year. "For this purpose, we will be acquiring both Embraer and Boeing aircraft," Grover said. So far, Paramount Airways has been running its operations only with Embraer aircraft. The airline also plans to set up a 24-hour call centre in Chennai. Frequent flier programmes and valet service for baggage screening are the other services that it plans to launch shortly. It intends entering into interline arrangements with international airlines too.
