Korean car giant Hyundai today announced a rejig at top management level in its Indian operations, with incumbent Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer H S Lheem being replaced by H W Park.
Lheem, who has been heading the India operations — Hyundai Motor India (HMIL) — since 2005, will be transferred to its global headquarters in Seoul with effect from November 5, HMIL said in a statement.
His successor Park is serving in HMIL as the Senior Executive Director (Administration) and Chief Financial Officer.
Under Lheem, the company commissioned its second manufacturing unit at Sreeperumbedur near Chennai in 2008.
During his tenure, the company introduced various models in the Indian car market such as Verna, i10 and i20.
