Andhra Pradesh government on Monday said Patanjali group, promoted by Yoga Guru Ramdev, has shown interest in establishing five projects, including a mega food park in the state.

Among other projects, the company will set up a Gaushala and a cow breeding center along with an Ayurvedic college in collaboration with the temple trust Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam.

The chief minister's office issued a statement regarding these projects after Patanjali chief executive officer Acharya Balakrishna met with chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu at his camp office in Vijayawada.

Naidu said that he was happy that Patanjali has come forward to invest in Andhra Pradesh. All the approvals for setting up of these projects will be provided well within time, he added.

The company was also looking at establishing an Aurvedic university, manufacturing of indigenous and natural products and also a yoga and nature-cure center, according to the statement.

Patanjali chief is expected to make similar announcements for Telangana as he also plans to visit Nizamabad district on Tuesday, which is one of the major turmeric growing areas in the country.
