Among PC vendors, Hewlett-Packard (HP) retained the top spot with a market share of 22.2 per cent as the rankings for the overall client PC (notebooks and desktops combined) remained unchanged. HCL bagged the second spot with 12.8 per cent, followed by Lenovo at 10.3 per cent in terms of unit shipments during the second quarter of 2007. |

HP also dominated desktop PC shipments as it regained its top position with a market share of 16.7 per cent, followed by HCL and Lenovo. Lenovo and Dell took the second and third place in terms of notebook PC shipments, while HP topped in this area with a market share of 40.4 per cent. |
