Private equity firm Infinite India has invested Rs 200 crore in the real estate business of Shrachi Group. The investment would be made in both holding companies as well as in projects. Shrachi Reality and Shrachi Developers are two-wholly owned subsidiaries of the Shrachi Group promoted by the Todi family. Infinite India will pick up minority stakes in both the holding companies, Karthik Sharma, chairman, Infinite India, said. Shrachi Group has sold over four million square feet over the last few years, and currently has around 22.5 million square feet under construction in different parts of eastern India.The capital is likely to be invested in expansion of the group's real estate business in Bhubaneshwar, Ranchi, Patna, and suburban towns of Bengal, said Rahul Todi, managing director, Shrachi Developers.Shrachi Group would invest Rs 500 crore over the next two years in various projects in eastern India, Todi added.Infinite India has invested in nine real estate companies across the country.
