Global publishing firm Pearson today said it will invest $30 million (about Rs 145 crore) in the country by acquiring stake in Educomp Solutions and in a Bangalore-based firm.
"50 per cent stake in Educomp Solutions and 17.2 per cent stake in TutorVista for a total sum of $30 million," Pearson India Deputy Chairman Khozem Merchant told reporters here.
Pearson owns various businesses including the Financial Times Group, Pearson Education and the Penguin Group.
Educomp is an education services provider, while Bangalore-based TutorVista is an online tutoring company.
