Enthused with the huge response received for the project in Santiniketan, the company has decided to go for another one, said managing director K S Bagchi. The proposed project would be second phase of its last venture, Sonar Taree.

Bagchi said the one lakh square feet of built up area would be available under the scheme, named Sonar Taree Phase II. All units would be duplex constructions, ranging from one bed room to complete houses. Each would have one cottah of free land.

Sonar Taree Phase I was constructed on six acres of land for an investment of Rs 6 crore. The company today acquired eight acres of land from Sriniketan Santiniketan Development Authority (SSDA), the nodal agency in that area.

The signing ceremony was marked with presence of Peerless General Finance & Investment Company managing director S K Roy, Visha Bharati University chancellor Sujit Basu and SSDA chairman Somnath Chatterjee.
