Pegasystems Inc, which develops business process management (BPM) and customer relationship management (CRM) solutions, said its latest Pega 7 platform was a quantum leap in this space.
Speaking at the Pega Developers Conference (PDC) here today, Alan Trefler, founder and CEO of Pegasystems, said it planned to develop India as a base for engineering and support for its customers.
Having grown at the rate of 25% over the last six months here, he said the company's success here depended upon the success of its software. Globally, organisations were rationalising their IT spending and clients in Asia-Pacific were renewing their back-end systems besides augmenting their front-end processes, he added.

Trefler said the global BPM, case management and customer service market is valued at $32 billion. In terms of revenue for it, 45% came from the US, 35% from Europe and the remaining from the Asia-Pacific region.
The company said it would develop more automation solutions to facilitate seamless and more effective collaboration between business and IT. "At our tech demonstration here, we have shown that same processes (responsive access) can be worked out for all devices without developing new programmes for each device," said Trefler.
