The company’s Dahej terminal has achieved this feet in a span of 9 years and 26 days which is a first for any LNG Terminal in the world with a single jetty operation.
“Achievement of 1,000th Cargo for an LNG Terminal is not an easy task, though this milestone has already been achieved by some of the busiest terminals of the World but it took them more than 18 years,” said A K Balyan, managing director and chief executive officer, while celebrating the achievement.
Petronet has so far been able to achieve send out of 62.76 million metric tones of re-gasified LNG, which is equivalent to 3,096 million BTUs.
“Earlier, the record was being held by a Japanese company for achieving the feet in 18 years, while the Belgium terminal took at least 25 years to make this possible. We are now expanding the terminal from 10 million tonne to 15 MT ,” said Sanjay Gupta, General Manager (Shipping), Petronet.
