"The company is aiming at Rs 1,200 cr turnover in the current year. The aim is to sell over 1.5 million pieces of radio this year as against 1 million last year," D Shivakumar, executive director and senior vice-president of Philips Electronics India, said today.
"The company is planning to sell 80,000 digital video disc (DVD) units this year as against 50,000 units sold last year," Shivakumar said.
Philips today launched new plasma and liquid crystal display (LCD) televisions with ambient lighting technology with a price range of Rs 1.5-3.5 lakh.
"Philips is focussing on colour televisions and home theatre systems with advanced technologies. We are planning to sell over 1 million TVs by 2006 and 60,000 home theatre systems by the end of this year," he added.
