Consumer electronics major Philips India appoints V Raja as the vice president and managing director effective December 1. Raja will be replacing A Krishna Kumar, who have been promoted to the position of head of the Emerging Businesses Group for Philips in September this year and is currently in the company’s global headquarters in Netherlands.
In his new role, Raja will be responsible for driving and building the Healthcare and Consumer Lifestyle businesses for Philips in India.

Raja who is joining Philips India from the Swiss electronics company TE Connectivity has worked for General Electric (GE) and Hindustan Unilever for 22 years before joining TE.
