Consumer electronics major Philips India is planning to launch a new range of mobile handsets every six months. The company has also lined up a comprehensive marketing and distribution strategy.
Rajeev Karwal, senior vice president of consumer electronics division, Philips, said the company would unveil new variants every six months. The next launch was slated in Descember of this year.
Philips has a meager presence in the Indian mobile market, the dominant players being Nokia, Samsung, Motorola and Sony-Ericsson.
