Consumer electronics firm Philips today announced top management reshuffle with incumbent head of healthcare division Anjan Bose being moved to lead professional and public affairs.
Meanwhile, the company has appointed ex-Johnson & Johnson Director Krishna Kumar as the new vice-president and business head of its healthcare division with effect from June 1, 2010.
Prior to the position, Kumar has worked as Johnson & Johnson's franchisee director (lifescan/diabetes care).
He has also worked with Coopers & Lybrand Consulting, HSBC Investment Banking and Microland, Philips India said in a statement.
Bose, who is currently the vice-president and business head of its Philips Healthcare, has been appointed as vice-president and head of professional & public affairs effective June 1.
Philips said it has created the new position considering the importance of government and public institutions in shaping policies.
"The importance of India as an emerging market and the role of government and public institutions in shaping policies and in turn becoming a large customer, necessitates that Philips India also creates a formal professional & public affairs function," the company said.
