In a press release on Friday, Don Miles, director (supply operations), Pioneer, stated that bulk trials were conducted at the plant, and the equipment performance was within the Pioneer standards for high-quality seed production. |

"The double pass drier can accommodate 960 metric tonnes of ear corn, and has already started receiving wet cobs from the field. The plant is expected to dry 3,500-4,000 metric tonnes of corn seed this season. |

The facility will also have the ability to dry hybrid rice seed and condition, treat and package rice, corn and pearl millet seed," he added. |
