Plexpo India 2010,organised jointly by the Gujarat State Plastics Manufacturers Association (GSPMA) and Plastindia Foundation with support from Indext B, Government of Gujarat began on Saturday in Ahmedabad.
Gujarat chief minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the four-day event. Speaking at the inaugural function, Jigish Doshi, chairman, Plexpo India 2010, said, “Renewed interest for participation in the expo amid revival in Indian economy rightly indicates that the plastic industry is all set for good times ahead and the exhibition will definitely help the players to find out new ways and means for the requirement of machinery and raw material. Apart from that, it will also help them to find out new technologies meant for reduction of cost and improvement in quality.” Companies from China, Taiwan, Singapore, Canada, the US, Italy, Switzerland and Korea have participated in this year's exhibition that has drawn 400 exhibitors.
