Power Finance Corporation (PFC) today announced the launch of a fully-owned consultancy arm - PFC Consulting.PFC Consulting will provide services in the power sector and in related areas. It will also provide consultancy services for ultra mega power projects including the formation of special purpose vehicles (SPVs).Ultra mega power projects are 4,000 Mw projects being set up across the country. Three such projects have already been awarded, while 5-6 projects are being planned.PFC Consulting would also conduct bidding for awarding projects of state utilities, and is expecting assignments of Rs 60 crore to be executed over the next 18 months.
