Power Finance to raise Rs 23,000 cr through bonds

Power Finance Corporation today said it will raise Rs 23,000 crore by the end of this fiscal through issue of bonds.     

"We will raise Rs 23,000 crore through bonds and plans to disburse the same amount this fiscal," company's CMD Satnam Singh said.     

Besides, the company plans to sanction Rs 20,000 crore of loan this fiscal.     

He further added the Request for Qualification (RFQ) for three Ultra Mega Power Projects (UMPPs) in the states of Tamil Nadu, Orissa and Chhattisgarh would be invited in the next three months.
