The Rs 15 crore company is a small scale unit and has implemented world class quality practices at its factory in Hosur. The company is engaged in the production of FES (front end structures) to Ashok Leyland.
C Shivakumar, managing director, Prabha Engineers, said that the company expected its business with Ashok Leyland to steadily go up.
In the first week of this month, Ashok Leyland had announced that it had doubled its growth target from an estimated seven per cent to 15 per cent. Prabha Engineers will be positively impacted by such a move and the upward revision comes in the wake of an increased sales in the sector.
Both Tata and Ashok Leyland have reported sales increases of 55 per cent and 38 per cent, respectively, for July 2003 as compared to the same period last year.
