Engineering and construction major Punj Lloyd today said its joint venture company in Saudi Arabia has bagged an order worth Rs 1,210 crore ($246.8 million).
Dayim Punj Lloyd, the joint venture company, has received a contract worth Rs 1,210 crore from Saudi Armaco Total Refinery & Petrochemical Company, Punj Lloyd said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.
Dayim Punj Lloyd is a joint venture of Punj Lloyd and Khalid Bin Bandar Bin Sultan (KBS), of Saudi Arabia.
The scope of work includes construction, engineering and procurement of port tank farm of the Jubial Export Refinery Project in Saudi Arabia, the filing added.
With this, the order backlog of Punj Lloyd Group on a consolidated basis has gone to Rs 24,532.35 crore. This is the total value of executed orders as of March 31, 2009 and new orders received till date.
The contract is awarded by Saudi Armaco Total Refinery & Petrochemical Company, a joint venture between Saudi Arabian Oil Company and Total of France, it added.
