PVP Entertainment plans 6 hotels, movie halls

Rs 150 crore investment to be made over 3 years

Ludhiana-based PVP Entertainment Ltd is coming up with multiplexes and hotels at six sites in Punjab with an investment of Rs 150 crore and above, spread over three years.
 
Speaking to Business Standard Pankaj Gupta, managing director, PVP Entertainment Ltd said the funds would be sourced through internal accruals and bank loans, for which the ratio was being still worked out.
 
He said Ludhiana would get multiplexes in two locations, with an investment of Rs 100 crore. Another multiplex was slated to come up in Jalandhar where the land surveying was going on.
 
Gupta said, "The first project we are going to start on will be in Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar where a multiplex will come in a11,000 sq yard area at Ludhiana. The second multiplex in Ludhiana will be spread over 15,000 sq yard."
 
Simultaneously consolidating its hold in the hospitality sector PVP Entertainment Ltd plans to come up with four-star 60-room hotels spread over 21000 sq yards in Ludhiana with an investment of Rs 15 crore
 
The developers have another 5,021 square yard hotel site to be developed in Ludhiana. "We have already procured the land and for certain projects the licenses are in the final stages," informed Gupta.
 
He further added, "We are looking for strategic tie-ups with majors in the hotel industry and are in talks with multinational hotel chains for the second hotel site which is going to be on the Jallandhar bypass lying on the NH-1."
 
Giving further details on the commercial centre which will be coming in Ludhiana on a 5,805 square yard, Gupta said the company had yet to sit on the drawing board. "What we are going to offer our customers will accommodate the needs of today while laying the groundwork for the future,"he said.
 
The company, which has been in the real estate development business since the last eight years, wants to foray into other regions of Punjab. "We are looking at Bathinda and Patiala for now and exploring options in other states as well,"Gupta stated.
