Entertainment firm Pyramid Saimira Theatre today said its net loss in the December quarter stood at Rs 74.74 crore, while it had a net profit of Rs 29.86 crore in the same quarter a year ago.
Total income of the company also declined to Rs 137.94 crore in the latest quarter from Rs 231.41 crore last in the same period last fiscal, Pyramid Saimira Theatre said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.
For the nine-month period ended December 31, 2008, the company posted a net loss of Rs 52.54 crore, whereas it had a net profit of Rs 52.54 crore in the same period last fiscal.
Shares of Pyramid Saimira today surged 3.09 per cent and were trading at Rs 25.05 in the afternoon trade on the BSE.
